Visit the UNESCO recognised Patio Festival of Cordoba
The patios of Cordoba are fully in bloom for the first two weeks of May, a tradition dating back to the Roman era. Admire the colours, scents and sounds of the courtyards in peaceful tranquility before travelling to Granada to visit the Alhambra and perhaps a flamenco show!

Itinerary/Excursions
Day 01
Arrive at either Malaga airport and head to the pretty town of Antequera where you will spend some free time before travelling to Cordoba.
Day 02
This morning, take an official guided tour of Cordoba. Highlights will include the Mezquita, the Jewish Quarter and the historic centre before spending the afternoon enjoying the Cordoba Patio Festival. The UNESCO recognised competition features beautiful courtyards that date back to the Roman era, filled with blooming flowers and stunning architecture.
Day 03
Visit the Medina Azahara, a palatial complex situated at the foot of Sierra Morena. Your guide will tell you all about the history of the monument before returning to Cordoba to further explore and enjoy the patios.
Day 04
Say goodbye to Cordoba as you travel east to Granada, stopping at Baena on the way to visit an almazara to learn about the local olive oils. Continue to Priego de Cordoba for a guided visit of the pretty white village before checking in to your hotel in Granada.
Day 05
Take a walking tour of Granada, with its intricate streets and hidden squares. The Royal Chapel, where Catholic monarchs are laid to rest is a must visit, before spending time at leisure for lunch at any of the bars in the centre of the town before heading to the Alhambra Palace. With spectacular scenery, history, and Generalife Gardens, the Alhambra is an iconic monument as the last stronghold of the Moors.
Day 06
Spend your final day free in Granada. Perhaps take a tapas route through Albaicin neighbourhood and/or visit Sacromonte Caves and Museumfor a fascinating insight. In the evening maybe a Flamenco show with a tapas dinner.
Day 07
After a wonderful week, transfer back to Malaga airport for your flight back to the UK.
