Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Fly to Girona, and transfer to your resort in Blanes. Enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 02

After breakfast, visit Blanes and its beautiful Botanical Gardens. A special tourist train will take you up to the gardens giving us great views over the port and beaches of Blanes. After your visit to this Mediterranean highlight, enjoy a glass of cava and traditionally cured botega ham in the centre of the village.

Day 03

The Girona Flower Festival or ‘Temps de Flors’ is held during May every year in the Barri Vell neighbourhood, filling the city with plants and spectacular flower displays. The floral exhibition covers different monuments, courtyards, streets, bridges, shops, patios – basically anything, into unique ornamental gardens. Be enchanted by a combination of wonderful colours and aromas. After this feast for the eyes, enjoy a traditional Catalan lunch, with wine in the countryside.

Day 04

Today you will visit Montserrat, the symbolic heart of Catalonia. The stunning rock formation and history make it a unique visit. Visit the basilica that guards the image of the Virgin of Montserrat and an art museum, before spending some free time exploring at your leisure.

Day 05

A day at leisure - in Blanes you can relax on the beach, visit the fresh fruit market in the morning or perhaps take a boat trip to Tossa de Mar.

Day 06

Today you will be visiting the Emporda area, starting with a visit to a local winery that produces wines and oils. The visit Besalú, a medieval village and cross the Romanesque bridge, and wander its crooked streets with stone buildings, finding a tranquil terrace for a coffee.

Day 07

Today you will travel up the Costa Brava to the pretty fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell. Visit the lush Cap Roig gardens, venue to summer music festivals, before heading to the centre of Calella for your lunch at leisure. After lunch, visit the Castel de Púbol, residence of Gala Dali, Dali's Russian wife and inspirational muse. The quirky building dates back to medieval times, but has been altered by the genius, making it an interesting visit.
