Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Take the Eurostar from London St. Pancreas and upon arrival in Rotterdam be greeted by a dedicated tour guide. Take a transfer to your hotel for the next few nights, and after check in embark on a city cruise to tour the area. Relax and enjoy the scenic historic waterways, charming houseboats and iconic bridges with interesting insights into the city's architecture, culture and rich history.

Day 02

After a delectable breakfast at the hotel, travel to Aalsmeer for the Royal FloraHolland flower auction, the largest in the world. A behind the scenes tour will show you the intricate logistics and global signifcance of the flower industry. After lunch, visit Keukenhof, otherwise known as the Garden of Europe. Spanning 79 acres and home to over seven million bulbs in full bloom, an interesting guided tour will go further into the history of the garden and horticultural highlights.

Day 03

Spend today at Bloemenpark Appeltern, a renowned garden park featuring over 200 model gardens.Upon arrival be greeted with a traditional Dutch apple pie with whipped cream and tea/coffee. An expert will lead a 1.5 hour guided tour of the park, focusing on plan knowledge and garden design before a lecture on gardening and happiness by Ben van Ooijen. After a traditional Dutch lunch in a serene garden, an informative presenatation by Elisabeth Scholt will further your knowledge on incorporating resilience and beauty into your own garden.

Day 04

After breakfast, take a transfer for the train back home.
