Celebrating International Women’s Day at Airedale Tours

Here at Airedale Tours, we’re proud to be a family of women, working together to create unforgettable travel experiences for private groups and individuals. Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the achievements, inspirations, and dreams of the incredible women in our team.

We sat down with Steph to ask her a few questions about her journey in the travel industry and the women who inspire her most. Here’s what she had to say:

What is your proudest achievement whilst working at Airedale Tours?

"The first holiday I put together from start to finish was Sweden. A former colleugue had just left, and I suddenly found myself responsible for it with no real idea of where to start! But after time, effort, and learning on the go, everything came together in the end. Seeing it all work out was such a proud moment for me."

At Airedale Tours, we believe in supporting one another and celebrating each other’s successes—whether it’s putting together a new itinerary or our first lunchtime run as a team to get fit! It’s just another example of how we support each other, not just in work but in life, encouraging each other to take on new challenges (and have a bit of fun along the way!).

Who are the women that have inspired you the most in your career, and what lessons have you learned from them?

"Jane McDonald! I mean, who wouldn’t want her job? Her enthusiasm for travel is amazing and she is a fellow Wakefield woman!"

Jane McDonald’s passion for exploring the world and sharing her experiences is infectious. She reminds us that travel isn’t just about visiting new places—it’s about embracing adventure with open arms and a smile on your face.

If you could invite any woman, past or present, to a dinner party celebrating International Women’s Day, who would it be?

"Britney Spears!"
