The Original Orient Express Returns to Europe
The original Orient Express is returning to Europe in 2024, we know this is something that is on many bucket lists - it's certainly on ours!
One of the most luxurious ways to travel across Europe, the Orient Express has been a symbol of extravagance for over a century. The original Orient Express shut down in 1977, but thanks to the recent discovery of some of the line's carriages, and 17 of them being bought by the French company Accor, it is set to be relaunched in 2024 as the Nostalgie-Istanbul-Orient-Express.
It is expected that the renovated cars will run between Paris and Istanbul, much like the original route. The carriages will also consist of sleeping cars, lounge cars, a restaurant car, and an entire car dedicated to entertainment and live performances, with many featuring the original Art Deco. The first of the renovated cars will be revealed this December, with the rest due to be completed by 2024, so keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal! We're sure they will look spectacular.
