Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Fly from London Gatwick to Porto airport and are transferred to the hotel Exe Esssenzia our base for the next 5 nights.

Day 02

This morning there is a guided tour in the historic centre of Porto to include Saö Bento train station with its 20,000 azuejos (ceramic tiles) and the neoclassic Palacio de la Bolsa (stockmarket palace). We will then cross the Douro to visit one of the wine cellars that made Porto such a prosperous city. Free time in the afternoon to explore.

Day 03

Today we take a cruise uo the beautiful Douro Valley. A magnificent trip and one of the most famous routes on the Douro, leaving from Régua. Therefore, we take a coach from Porto to join the relaxing cruise back to Porto. Once on board, enjoy a lunch specially prepared by chefs.

Day 04

We start the day with an official guided tour of nearby Guimaraes, the first capital of Portugal. Thhis historic city has much to offer included is entry to the elegant Bragança Palace. After some free time for lunch we continue to Braga paying special attention to the Bom Jesus Church.

Day 05

This morning we travel to Aveiro to see 'Portuguese Venice. There willl be a guided walking tour of the old port of the city. We will visit the Carcavelos bridge, the Art Nouveau buildings and th eMisericordia church. Free time for lunch and the we take the moliceiro boat route passing through some of the most emblematic points of Aveiro, including the Art Nouveau buildings on the vank of the canal, the Aveiro salt flats, the fisheman's quarter, and the The old Jerónimo Pereira Campos ceramics factory.

Day 06

Transfer to Porto Airport for our flight back home..
