Dancing in the skies above the land of fire and ice, the aurora borealis captivate the night. In the daytime, visit the natural wonders of Iceland.

Itinerary/Excursions

Day 01

Fly from London Heathrow to Reykjavík. Once you have landed, be met at the airport for your transfer to your hotel.

Day 02

After breakfast at your hotel, visit the Perlan Museum for the Wonders of Iceland exhibition including a visit to the man made ice cave and the planetarium. Drive towards the center of the old town and pass the Parliament, harbour, Hapa concerthall, sun voyager sculpture and Höfði house, site of the 1986 Summit. Stop by Hallgrímskirkja Church (whose steeple is a Reykjavík landmark). This evening, emabrk on a stargazing tour of the Northern Lights - some of the most spectacular auroras in the world. If they cannot be seen, the excursion can be repeated on another night.

Day 03

Today you will take a full day tour of the Golden Circle, highlighting the most popular natural wonders of Iceland: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir geothermal area. Discover Iceland‘s interesting geological history with a walk in Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage since 2004. Continue to the Geysir and its bubbling springs and hot mud pots. The most active geyser of the area is Strokkur, erupting up to 30m high every 7-10 minutes. Only a few minutes’ drive from Geysir is Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe.

Day 04

Spend a peaceful morning at the Blue Lagoon. This unique wonder in the middle of a black lava field with its healing waters, otherworldy vistas and subterranean spa promotes the ultimate relaxation experience. This afternoon is at your leisure.

Day 05

Spend today at leisure.

Day 06

Take a private transfer back to the airport (unassisted) and board your flight home to the UK.

Hotel Frón is a modern and friendly hotel situated in the heart of Reykjavik on the main shopping street, Laugavegur. The hotel is simple in design yet elegant and structured to suit all our guests’ individual needs. Only a few steps away are the centre’s bustling cafés, restaurants, shopping, galleries and theatres. The hotel encompasses a total of 90 rooms on four floors, offering a wide range of accommodation from single and double rooms to studio apartments as well as larger apartments.There is an elevator in the building. All rooms feature an en-suite bathroom, a mini-bar, a telephone, TV, wireless internet access, hairdryer and a safe to store valuables. All apartments are fitted with kitchen facilities, a refrigerator, a microwave oven and a cooking stove.
