Itinerary/Excursions

Tresco

Tresco is the second largest of the islands and a subtropical gem. It is the only one of the islands to be privately-owned; it is currently cared for by Lucy and Robert Dorrien-Smith. This island has a little bit of everything – from dramatic rocky outcrops, bronze age burial sites and romantic castle ruins, to secluded sandy beaches and, of course, the world famous Tresco Abbey Garden which was established in the 1830s by Augustus Smith.

St Mary's

St. Mary’s is a great place to get out and about and explore, whether you’re here for just a few hours or indeed for a few days.  From walking through elm tree woods, discovering our Bronze Age monuments, finding a sheltered cove for a wild swim or enjoying our talented artists, make sure you make the most of St. Mary’s.

Hugh Town

Hugh Town is the largest settlement on the Isles of Scilly and its administrative centre. The town is situated on the island of St Mary's, the largest and most populous island in the archipelago, and is located on a narrow isthmus which joins the peninsula known as the Garrison with the rest of the island.

Island Hopping

The Isles of Scilly is England's enchanting archipelago - perfectly pint-sized but still boasting more than 140 islands. Let’s go island hopping! There are full day and half day trips to a plethora of islands to choose from. There are trips to see the seals and seabirds, to Bishop Rock Lighthouse, to the uninhabited islands where you can get dropped sometimes – and picked up too of course!  And evening excursions on the “supper boats” that allow you to sample the pubs and restaurants of all the islands.
